BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao Titanium 3: A New Era of Family-Focused SUVs

BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao (FCB) brand has introduced a new hard-core series named Titanium (or “Tai” in Chinese), designed with family-oriented consumers in mind. The first model in this series, the Titanium 3 electric SUV, was recently unveiled and is set for launch in the first half of next year, with an expected price of approximately 200,000 yuan (27,600 USD).

A New Addition to the FCB Lineup

Fang Cheng Bao, BYD’s dedicated off-road brand, debuted in August last year with its initial “Bao” series. The Titanium series will expand the lineup in 2025, offering a unique approach tailored for family use.

During the launch of the FCB Bao 8 on November 12, General Manager Xiong Tianbo emphasized the brand’s focus on family users, noting that 70% of FCB Bao 5 customers are families. The naming of the new series reflects this emphasis, drawing inspiration from titanium—an element known for its durability, ductility, and adaptability.
