This upcoming model has been revealed through regulatory information, giving us an early glimpse into its specifications. In China, all vehicles must receive approval from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (Miit) before they can be sold. This regulatory process often leads to the early release of key details about the vehicle, sometimes ahead of the official launch. Thanks to MIIT, we now know that the Seal 05 has a length of 4780 Mm, es machen 50 mm shorter than the Seal 06 PHEV and 20 mm shorter than the original Seal EV. There are three different versions of the Seal 05, as per MIIT listings. The base model weighs 1480 kg, while the two other variants weigh 1580 kg. All versions offer a choice of 16 or 17-inch wheels.

BYD is known for its quick vehicle launches, so we can expect the Seal 05 DM-i to debut in early 2025, further expanding BYD’s presence in the growing PHEV market.
