Fang Cheng Bao, the subsidiary of BYD, a annoncé un prochain événement dédié au dévoilement des avancées technologiques et de la marque. Prévu pour faire la lumière sur les détails de la sous-marque BYD, l'événement est prévu pour août 16, comme l'a révélé Fang Cheng Bao via sa plateforme Weibo.

Bien que les détails officiels de l'événement restent limités, l’affiche promotionnelle de l’événement présente un SUV, probablement le premier modèle de la marque, known as the Leopard 5.

Le nom “Fang Cheng Bao” a été officiellement présenté par BYD en juin 9. Subséquemment, en juillet 4, it was disclosed that the inaugural model would be named Leopard 5.

Market analysts expect the Leopard 5 cibler une fourchette de prix allant du RMB 400,000 ($55,283) au RMB 600,000. As early as March, Auto in China obtained spy photos of the model showcasing the cryptic code “2316” adorned on the vehicle’s body. Insights from that time unveiled that the digits correspond to dual motors (2), triple locks (3), a new platform (1), and a June release (6).

Toutefois, an update posted by Fang Cheng Bao on June 21 depicted the number on the car as “2318,” suggesting a slight postponement of the model’s debut to August from its initially intended June launch.

En juillet 21, Fang Cheng Bao offered a Weibo video, offering a comprehensive view of the Leopard 5’s exterior design from various angles.

It is important to note that while the upcoming event is focused on brand and tech revelations, the full-scale official launch of the Leopard 5 might be slated for a later date.
